Cities in Dante’s time. Urban and territorial transformations between the 13th and 14th centuries

The celebrations for the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri constitute an opportunity to evaluate the urban and territorial transformations that took place between the second half of the 13th and the first half of the 14th century. The contributions can refer both to the cities where Dante lived or that he visited during his life, and to the places mentioned in the Divine Comedy. Examples of particular relevance in Europe will also be considered, as well as transformations of architectural complexes.

Papers can be sent in both Italian and English.

Deadline: Abstract of 2,000 characters and curriculum vitae of 1,000 characters, both spaces included, by 28 February; the curator will communicate the acceptance of contributions by 31 March; delivery of the final essay by 30 June; publication by 31 December.

Full Text: Each paper must be sent in .doc format and must not exceed 20,000 characters, including notes and spaces. The contribution must also be accompanied by an abstract of about 700 characters and 3 keywords, a complete bibliography, a brief bibliographic note by the author. The editorial rules will be provided upon acceptance of the abstracts.

Images: For each paper, a maximum of 3 images in b/w or color can be inserted, in .tiff, .jpg, .eps, .psd or .pdf format and minimum resolution 300 dpi. For images covered by copyright, it is necessary to provide the release for use and reproduction.
