Appel à communications : Futures Past: Apocalyptic Thought in Premodern Iberia, RSA, date limite le 12 août 2022
This panel invites proposals focused on the apocalyptic imaginaries of millenarian and messianic movements in the premodern Iberian world. Scholarship in recent decades has explored Iberian temporal constructions through the lens of Renaissance Medievalism and Early Modern Antiquarianism. Participants in this panel will instead consider premodern Iberian constructions of the future and how they differ from the better-known revolution of temporal experience in the eighteenth century.
