Appel à contribution : « Musica & Figura », date limite le 28 mars 2024

Musica & Figura (M&F) is a peer-reviewed, ANVUR-accredited journal published by the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Padua, in collaboration with the Ugo and Olga Levi Foundation of Venice. M&F aims at promoting interdisciplinary studies on the history of music and art and intends, where possible, to illuminate the relationships and connections between the two disciplines, however subject-specific papers are welcome. The main goal of M&F is to provide an intellectual platform for international scholars to debate and engage in critical exchange. It encourages the presentation of both scholars working in musicology and art and those from other disciplines whose work can contribute substantially to topics of interest in history and criticism of art and musicology.

All research articles published in M&F have undergone rigorous peer review, based on the initial screening of editors and anonymous refereeing.

The journal aims to be a focal point for academics, practitioners, graduate and undergraduate students, fellows, and associates pursuing research worldwide.

The journal is published in a print version, ISSN 2284-032X (Print).

M&F publishes original articles, review articles, conceptual frameworks, analytical and simulation models, case studies, empirical research, technical notes, and book reviews. Occasionally special issues dedicated to important topics in art and music will be published.

Contributions may be written in Italian, English, French, German, and Spanish. If the author does not use their mother tongue, the contribution must be revised by a native speaker before being submitted to the journal.

The journal is Abstracted/Indexed (RILM, Alma-ExLibris-Primo Central, DB, Ebsco Discovery Service, LC, OCLC, Proquest Summon, Serials Solutions, Yewno).

M&F invites articles for the next volume, scheduled for publication within fall 2024. Last submission date: 28th March 2024.
However, an early submission will get preference in case of review and publication process.

Send your manuscript by email to musica.figura.dbc@unipd.it. The submission is free of charge!
