Appel à contribution : « Federico Zuccari ‘Artista Universale’ », L’idea, n° 1-2, date limite le 20 décembre 2024

The second volume (Issues 1-2, Year II, 2025) of the Journal L’IDEA will host articles (in Italian, English and French) focused on the personality and work of the artist, draughtsman, writer, theorist and academic, Federico Zuccari or Zuccaro. The latter will be investigated in relation to the cultural, intellectual and artistic history, both Italian and European, between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, starting from the scientific areas covered by the journal: humanistic studies, history of artistic literature, intellectual history and history of ideas, history of philosophy, philology of images and texts, history of language & Old Master drawings history and connoisseurship.

The Call for papers is aimed at established researchers and curators in possession of a PhD. The abstract of the proposal (max 2,000 characters, spaces included), written in the language of the article, must contain the title of the Call for papers and the title of the article, and must be sent, together with a short curriculum vitae et studiorum, using the Proposal Form available and fillable in the PROPOSTE section of our website (https://lidea.abaroma.it/proposte).

The selected article (max 30,000 characters, spaces and notes included), written according to the Editorial Guidelines (available in English, French, Italian) of the Journal, must be accompanied by an abstract (max 1,000 characters) in Italian and English (and in the language of the article), 5-10 keywords, image captions and a final bibliography. The images (jpeg or TIFF format, resolution 300 dpi) must be acquired by the Author exclusively through the institutions that own them (museums, libraries, archives, collections, etc.), with specification (indemnity) of the credits already paid. (N.B.: Images from other online digital archives will not be accepted.)

Florence Larcher est doctorante à l'Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Ses recherches sur les images de saint Roch en Italie de 1350 à 1680 l'amènent à étudier la peinture murale, la sérialité et l'itinérance des peintres.
