  Am Beispiel der “Ragionamenti” Vasaris, der ersten wegweisenden Schrift eines Künstlers, die das eigene malerische Oeuvre erklären soll, betrachtet der Autor ein besonderes Phänomen: Kunstwissenschaftliche Deutungen von Bildern basieren häufig auf Grundlage historischer Schlüsseltexte.
